Pillsbury Prize Pack Giveaway

Valentine’s Day is almost here and the kids can’t wait to make cookies and fill out their Valentine’s Cards.  It is tradition to make homemade sugar cookies shaped like hearts and frost them.  But I need something a little quicker for those days that the one year old and the 4 month old both need me at the same time.  For those times we are going to grab a package of “ready to bake” cookies.

Gone are the days of me messing with a sticky tube of dough.  Pillsbury sent me a coupon for a package of ready to bake cookie dough that are perfect for Valentine’s Day and lovers of Mickey Mouse ears…

Provo Craft Supplies

Other Supplies

Additional Tips/ Tricks from the Designer:

  • Used the Cricut Frosting Sheets for all of the white elements and made my own custom colored fondant for the red and aqua.
  • Decorated the back side of the cookies because it was a much flatter, smooth surface and the fondant looked so much better on a smooth surface.
  • Added edible pearl sprinkles for a fun touch.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Here is my ballerina, age 6, working on her Valentine’s Day cards.  I was going to buy her all kinds of supplies to make these like foam paper, cut outs, glitter, pipe cleaners then I came across the kit she is working on.  It came with 12 red and 12 white foam, scalloped hearts.  Pink, red, white glitter hearts.  It saved me a few dollars and she had a blast.

Oh how I enjoyed doing things like this when I was little.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Random Tuesday Thoughts

My daughter has her first school dance this Friday.  That is scary on so many levels, but the scariest is “Yikes do I feel old”.  The school is squeezing it in right after classes are done for the day.  My daughter informed me she will NOT be wearing a dress.

My ballerina printed out a bunch of Valentine’s Cards from Nick Jr. and is going to give those to her friends; after she colors them.

I  can’t wait for summer.  Not because it will be warm, but because I am gonna send my hubby off to work and go back to bed!  Yes, I talk about sleep a lot.  I love the stuff, just don’t get too much of it.

Ok, watched Chuck last night after House thinking it would put me in a happy place.   Instead they stressed me out.  I do not like the idea of Chuck and Sara not being together.  Not that Hanna isn’t totally adorable, but COME ON!!!  After my angst with that I found out we have to wait for a month to see the next show, grrr.

Finally bought some night time diapers, shwooo.  I have enough laundry as it is but baby girl was filling up that dippy like there is no tomorrow.  Two days in a row without having to wash the baby, clothes and the sheets.

It was a pretty good Super Bowl, I don’t like when the games are one sided and this was pretty even till the end.  I liked some of the “Doritos” commercials .  I could have done done without the undies commercials.

Sorry this is short, but I gotta go take a nap, I can’t fight it anymore.
