Random Tuesday Thoughts – Cookie Time

randomtuesday

Tried to watch the Lunar Eclipse last night…  Of course our house is positioned in a way that we had to go outside and see it.  OMGoodness was it cold.  We couldn’t stay out there the whole time.

I am not wanting Christmas to come yet.  I wait all year and now it coming to fast…

Today after “Momma Young Talks” it is cookie time.  That is all we are doing is making sugar cookies for our annual decorating.  I would love them to turn out as good as they did in 08′ .

With luck Grandma can make it and even Aunti.  The kids love their company.

It is almost time to do the final Crazy Christmas Cleaning.. Every since I was a kid, the house had to be

spotless

immaculate

sterile

for Christmas and it seems that hasn’t stopped yet.  I feel a twitch coming on…

Our pediatrician had to cancel baby’s appointment because she was sick.  I was just thinking, I don’t think I have ever heard a doctor say he or she was sick.  I thought they were impervious.

I love when a program automatically corrects my spelling.  Not these red squiggly lines that think my name is wrong.

Are you done shopping?  Just about here, just have to finish daddy bear and stocking stuff..

I’m off my kids are hungry for the 50th time and it is only 8 am…

UGH..

Random Tuesday Thoughts – Kind of…well I am babbling anyway…

randomtuesday

This weekend was a busy one.  I spent Wednesday through Friday cleaning and doing laundry so we would have a clean house and clean clothes to return to home to.  HAH HAH!  When we got back I looked around and got that icky feeling inside, like now “I have to clean because this is a sty and why did I bother to doing all the cleaning when we were just gonna tare the place apart while packing… UGH!”

My beautiful teenager had her first live appearance and her doting mother FORGOT the video camera.  So I whipped out my cell phone camera and tried to to time with other peoples flashes because conditions have to be PERFECT to get a good picture with it, ARGH!!!

Christmas Concert

Oh anybody, somebody sponsor me a decent camera, Please!!!  Ugh.

Remember how I mentioned the freakish fog we had a few days back.  Well we got to drive in the stuff on our way to the show and on our way home the next day.  What was really weird for me?  It was between 3 and 4 in the afternoon.  We watched the temperature drop from 46° to 26° while in the fog.  We had been traveling for a while, but it got so cold the truck’s heater couldn’t keep up.  It was freezing.

Here it comes

more fog

Windows are starting to fog up

Oh yay almost home.
So glad to get home, even though I had to clean again!

I got to see my brother’s family, YAY!   That included seeing my little nephew, so tiny and so cute.  He is 3 months old and gorgeous!

Gotta work on my grocery list which includes the Roast Beast for Christmas!

On another note:  Has everyone been noticing the supposed “lower prices” in the stores.  Do they think we just fell of the STUPID Truck?  You’all just been shrinking the packaging.  Come on…

Breath

We have to finish our Christmas Shopping tomorrow, its going to be a mad house!

Well have to go now and bake some cookies and more cookies because I don’t have enough temptations in the house, ARGh!

Hmmm, me thinks that Momma’s been watching too much SPONGEBOB!!!

Christmas Sugar Cookies

The girls and I baked cookies Thursday evening and Friday afternoon; Santa, stockings, gloves, angels, reindeer, bows, bulbs, balls, candy canes, gingerbread, stars and snowflakes. We should have counted how many. It was all in anticipation of Grandma (Mom O – My Mom-n-law) coming over to decorate cookies with her grand babies..

Before the kids arrived home from school and Grandma arrived, I prepared several colors and placed them in zip-lock bags (for more detailed designs.) We had Red, Dark Blue, Light blue, yellow, green, black and white. We had sprinkles, dots and colored sugar.

We decorated from about 3:30 to 9 pm. I had to take several breaks in between to tend to my baby girl, but the kids were so into it.

Wow, that is a lot of cookies! We didn’t finish decorating them all. As you can see, my 4 year old is already picking out which ones are her’s. Here are some close-ups:
