So what is Groupon all about anyway?

Groupon negotiates with local businesses for huge discounts on things like goods, services and events.   Groupon (ref. link) offers the deals to its  subscribers in a free daily email.  Those deals become active when a minimum number of people agree to buy. We get a great deal and the business gets new customers.

You can get these discounts on the Groupon website, Facebook or Twitter.  You can even personalize what kind of discounts to be sent to you via email.  Use it on your iPhone or Android’s available app.  You can even buy groupons gifts.

Example:  So you found the deal you wanted on a scarf, say it cost $50 normally but Groupon was able to negotiate it down 50% well now it is only $25.  You purchase the groupon, print it out and take it to the store with the deal and get the shmancy scarf!

Pretty simple huh.

Groupon offers the deals to its  subscribers in a free daily email.  The deals are activated only when a minimum number of people agree to buy. So our subscribers get a great deal and the business gets a ton of new customers. Win-win.

Coupon Mom, Take me away…

I know there are lots of ways to save on groceries, but I feel like I am always missing out. Granted it does take some work, which I have been slacking on lately.

I would love for Stephanie to come sweep me off my feet, or at least mentor me a couple of shopping trips. Oh if she could turn my $600 a month groceries into $150!!! Oh how would that rock… I mean there are times I can bring it down, but I am only a “padawan” and catch sales when they are painfully obvious.

Here is a video of Stephanie aka. Coupon Mom turning someone’s grocery bill from $161 to $11…

The Coupon Mom Show has a ton more ways to save with videos on how she did it. For example, savings on: School supplies, Holiday meals, beauty supplies, office parties….

I just had to share. I figure this is the next best thing to having her at the store shopping with me.

Happy Savings my Bloggy Family!!!
