New Kraft MilkBite Bars

Anyone who has kids knows it is a struggle to keep the cupboard and refrigerator stocked with wholesome snacks.  Kraft has our back with their new “milk & granola” bar.

These MilkBite bars have the same amount of calcium you would find in a glass of milk.  They also have 5 grams of protein, 7 grams of whole grains and are a great source of fiber.  What they don’t have?  High fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, colors or preservatives.

What did my kids think?  Apparently my kids loved them because it was a challenge to keep a couple of flavors for me to sample.

  • The MilkBite bars were soft and chewy at the same time.
  • Each bar is a good serving size.
  • and they taste great.

I was going to do a blind taste test to see which bars my kids preferred.  I didn’t get that far.  The fridge had MilkBites and the cupboards still have another.  The inability for me to keep the MilkBites stocked is proof enough for me which granola bar the kids preferred.

MilkBites come in five flavors: Chocolate, Strawberry, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin and Mixed Berry.  The two flavors my kids devoured were

Each box contains 5 servings and found in your grocery store’s dairy aisle.

Suggested retail price is $3.49.

With Eco-Foil Pans I can Rinse Repeat Recycle

I won a set of pans from Mamavation Monday giveaway not to long ago.  My first observation was they are much more sturdy than I remember aluminum pans being and they come with lids.  Here are some facts my GREEN side was very pleased with:

  • Pans and trays are made from 100% recycled aluminum
  • Lids are made from 100% recycled plastic
  • Still 100% American made
  • Still 100% recyclable after use
  • 100% trusted quality and strength

I bet your wondering what you’d use them for now that the Holidays are over…  I’m finding uses for them on a daily basis and since they are sturdy I haven’t felt the need to put them in the recycle bins yet.

  • I used the smaller ones last night to bread my chicken.
  • We used them on my son’s birthday to hold the burgers and buns.

  • What about that work potluck?
  • Cakes and all kinds of goodies come to mind.
  • Keep food warm

EcoFoil is having a picture contest on their facebook page and I see some great ideas like lasagna, cakes etc…

Remember, Aluminum can be recycled over and over again, without ever losing its quality.  So don’t throw those cans away, recycle them!

I received a set of eco foil pans in a giveaway and thought I would review them for you.  The opinions are my own.

Not your Mom’s Ivory, Modern Moms use a different “Soap Dish”

There is nothing I like more than the smell of someone fresh out of the shower.  Scratch that, there is nothing I like more than me smelling and feeling fresh just after a shower.  Yes I am big on crisp clean smells.

Oh you know that smell where walk by someone and your senses are happy.  When your taking a shower and the happy clean smells makes you forget the aliens that replaced your children.  Makes you forget about the very long list of “to-dos”…  Yes now you know what I am talking about.

Ivory sent me some bar soap and shower soap to try out and I’m in LOVE.  Yes pleasant smelling soaps will take me that way.

I made the mistake of leaving the Lavender scented on the side of the tub.  My little girls kept trying to use it as hand soap they like it so much.  Yes it would make a nice handsoap but I was being selfish and wanted to save it for my showers.  I’m a mom with six kids, it takes an act of congress to get in the shower or at least wait till Papa Bear gets home.  So when I do get there I savor it.

It doesn’t take six kids to appreciate that right?  See I knew I wasn’t alone.  Other Moms like you and I answered a survey commissioned by Ivory and found 1000′s of Moms feel the same way.  They were inspired and created The Soap Dish.  Ivory’s new online community features Emmy award winner and funny mom, Melissa McCarthy, is a light hearted community that offers women like us an outlet.  So if you feel like sharing stories about your aliens, I mean children, this would be a great place to do it.  Visit www.facebook.com/ivory to get some humor we all can appreciate it.

Ivory’s not your Mom’s soap anymore.  It is time for us modern day moms. Laugh, Live and Share…

@Vapur Anti-Bottles that you can dress!

I received something nice in the mail that I just had to review for you.  It is the Vapur anti-bottle.

Pretty neat huh?

They are convenient and portable

They stand tall when filled.

They roll, fold and flatten when empty.

Vapur bottles are also:

reusable

dishwasher safe

microwave safe

freezer safe

and

BPA-free!

I love that I can take this anywhere; clip it on the babies stroller or put it in my bag.  The Vapur comes in a .4 liter and .5 liter sizes and are affordable.  There are various designs as well.

For colder weather there is the Vapur Sweater.  It wicks away moister ans it insulates.  It keeps the cold off your hands, something important in colder weather, but you won’t need worry with your bottle sweating and dampening your hands, purse and clothing.  The Vapur Sweater will keep your drink cold and the outside dry.

Vapur anti-bottles and sweaters are made in the USA.

TTC Starter Kit Giveaway

Many might look at my header and think “I don’t think she needs to worry about trying to conceive.”   I understand, sometimes it was easy and other times it was difficult.  With my son I got pregnant the first month I tried, with one of my daughters it took a couple of years, sadly a couple times we miscarried.

When  I look at how the human body works, I am amazed we aren’t near extinction.  We truly are a very delicate species; small imbalances can throw off our entire reproductive system.

During the times I had a hard time conceiving, I did two things; searched all over the internet for clues and spent a small fortune on pregnancy tests.  It was a very emotional time.  As frustrating as it was for me there are 1000′s more that are struggling to conceive their first little one.

The one thing I never got around to trying was supplements.  That is why I reviewed the TTC Kit. No I’m not trying to conceive at this very moment, but I know there are plenty that are and might find this info useful.

ConceiveEasy’s Starter Kit contains FertiBella month 1 & 2.  It supports and enhances the body’s own reproductive cycle to eliminate common problems with conception that includes a progesterone deficiency, irregular cycles, poor quality mucous in the cervix and hormone imbalances.

The ConceiveEasy TTC Kit™ also includes your choice of ovulation tests and/or pregnancy tests.

It is very convenient to have all those tests ready to go and in two different types.  There is the stick you pee on and the other stick for dipping in the cup.  Both are with a dark red dye; a much more reliable dye.  With the stick you pee on results are ready in one minute.  With the stick you dunk results are read after 5 minutes.

Would you like to win this kit?

One Winner will receive a  Trying to Conceive (TTC) Starter Kit ™ (a $152 value):

  • Conceive Easy’s Months 1&2 Starter Pack
