Wordless Wednesday – Sillyness

My son Mr. silly before and after his hair cut.

All summer my little man grows out his hair and once football starts he requests it be buzzed to oblivion.

I always call him my little man, but his is a big boy for only being 12. He is 5’4″ and wears men’s shoes and clothes, Sheesh is right!

Thankful Thursday

I think sometimes it is very easy to get lost in life’s struggles, to think woe is me for this and for that.  But as hard as things are, I really do have it good.  I just have to look at the bright side.

My kids are at each others’ throats for what seems like all the time.  “He’s looking at me” “She’s looking at me” “Mommy their being mean” and the list goes on.  It’s frustrating and irritating, but they are happy and healthy kids and I am sure one day they will grow out of their little bothers.

In a State that has reached the highest unemployment for the nation, I am thankful my Husband has a job.

My beautiful red microwave nearly went up in smoke, but I managed to unplug it as the fireworks started.  So I can’t use my microwave, but I at least have more room on my counters.  If necessary I can use my air cooker, stove top or oven.

Frosting Pallet

Today it was my daughter’s turn to bring a snack to school.  So we decided to make little sugar cookies and frost them.   I didn’t want to make a big mess in the sink with a bunch of dirty bowls and spoons, so we made a frosting pallet instead.

We had the following on hand:  Duncan Hines Whipped, Food Coloring and a plastic platter that I just love.

We dolloped small amounts of frosting on our pallet.

Then we added the color and blended with a toothpicks:

Now she is ready to work.  She just used a little butter knife to frost her cookies.  This is best for cookie backgrounds and fill zip lock bags, snip corners for more details.

Clean up was super easy, wish I had thought of this simple thing a long time ago.  I would show you pictures of the finished cookies, but like the big goof ball that I am, I completely forgot to take pictures.

Her cookies were a big hit.

Another Popwarner Playoff game…

Well it is time for our 2nd play-off game.  We are playing the Carson Senators.  This should be a very good and intense game.  Carson has an awesome record and is always a tuff team to play.

I may not have a voice when this is over, sorry if I embarrass you honey, but I will be yelling!!!

Good Luck Baby!

My little manThis is him just after the Douglas game.  I was trying to catch the steam coming off his head, it didn’t work though.  Oh well, good pic anyway.

My BabiesKiddos after game.

Yes, it was freezing that night.  It was also my oldest’s birthday..

I would post one of his team pics, but the league is holding their pictures ransom until equipment is turned in.
