Well I did say I would wait till after Christmas to begin my journey, well it is over and my time has come.
I have to get busy and start considering how I plan to eat and what my exercise regiment will be. Wouldn’t be nice to not have to think about anything. Whatever I chose, it has to be cost effective. Remember I was talking about our insurance costs going up so we can’t afford to add more debt to our budget.
This leads me to a question. If money were no object what tools would you use to get in lose weight and get into shape? Before you say it, nothing surgical. It has to be good old fashioned hard work.
- I would hire a personal trainer. I don’t want to think about what I should do, I would love for someone to tell me “do this, do that…”
- I would hire a personal chef or join a program like Nutri System or something similar. It would be so nice to not think about food. A lot of thought goes into what to eat, how to prepare it, etc…
- I’d have a pool so I could swim every day. I love swimming but pools are a distance from my house and I really don’t to be in a public area in a bathing suit right now.
Ok, back to reality.
I have been working on the water intake. Next I have to decide how I will be eating. I was leaning towards Atkins, but I want to do something a little more realistic and something I can do while cooking for the rest of the family.
What I really want to work on and make a habit, is to Exercise. Daily would be great, but every other day would be a good start. I’ll use my Wii, exercise bike, dance, yard work (when it isn’t snowing), walking, exercise bands, etc…
