Frosting Pallet

Today it was my daughter’s turn to bring a snack to school.  So we decided to make little sugar cookies and frost them.   I didn’t want to make a big mess in the sink with a bunch of dirty bowls and spoons, so we made a frosting pallet instead.

We had the following on hand:  Duncan Hines Whipped, Food Coloring and a plastic platter that I just love.

We dolloped small amounts of frosting on our pallet.

Then we added the color and blended with a toothpicks:

Now she is ready to work.  She just used a little butter knife to frost her cookies.  This is best for cookie backgrounds and fill zip lock bags, snip corners for more details.

Clean up was super easy, wish I had thought of this simple thing a long time ago.  I would show you pictures of the finished cookies, but like the big goof ball that I am, I completely forgot to take pictures.

Her cookies were a big hit.

Edwards Singles A La Modes Dessert

I received a frozen dessert to review. This frozen treat was from Edwards Singles and the flavor was Hot Fudge Brownie with Creamy Ice Cream.

It was simple… I put the first frozen brownie mix in the microwave for 45 seconds than plopped my perfect circle of ice cream on top. I did the same for my hubby (Yes I shared.) I got a little side tracked and did his for 15 seconds longer than I should have. It was ok, no damage done, it was still very yummy. Oh did I mention there was 2 desserts per package?

I was so happy in my chocolate delight that I forgot to take a picture. Here is a pic of the Hot Turtle Brownie:

Drool Drool!

Ok it gets even better. All this taste and flavor in one package was under $2.68 at my local Wall-mart. What a great price! So that is one mouth watering dessert for only $1.34. (Prices may vary in your neck of the woods.)

Thank you Edwards for making such a yummy and affordable treat!
