It's Party Time

Hi There,

Well I am packing up the house like a crazy person. I know it is only a 3 hour drive and only one night, but with 4 kids? It will be interesting to say the least.

The concert/food drive is in need now more than ever. Remember the little town I told you about, the one I grew up in? Well the major employer (employs 75% of the town) just laid off 90 workers and thinks their are more to come. It will soon be a ghost town because there are not many places to work there.

We are hitting the concert, well have to hehehe, hubby’s gonna play a few songs with his bro and even my teenager is gonna sing.

Oh and I am making a “pig picken” cake. What’s that? A cake that makes ya wanna pig out. I’ll post the recipe later.

Have a wonderful weekend. I’ll try and post some pics soon.

Random Tuesday Thoughts – Give A Girl a Break!

randomtuesday

Right now I am thinking “give a girl a break!”

Sunday Hubby worked Yay! need the OT.

That day I had “spell.”   Minding my own business when my heart starts pounding and I can’t get air.  I am taking deep breaths but feeling no relief.  Finally, what seemed like an eternity, was actually probably 60 seconds, I could breath and feel like I was breathing.  I am thinking “What the bleep was that?”  After that I had heavy PVC’s (premature ventricular contraction) all day.  This I am use to, but not the heart pounding lack of breath.  Sheesh.  So I look at the 2 meds I am on.  Oh great!  They both cause things like that.  So I removed myself from their little grip.  I haven’t had any issues since than, but that was scary!

Sunday we were without power for three hours, because someone dropped something in their van while driving, went to pick it up while driving and hit a power pole.  The driver was uninjured.

My ballerina woke up from her nap with a 105.6 fever.  Sheesh.  I gave her tylenol, got dressed and took her to the Urgent care.  Fun huh?!  She is doing better and just in time for Thanksgiving, shwoo.

Last night when my boys got home (Hubby & Son) I was running like a chicken with my head cut off (does that really happen?). I was making some spaghetti and;

Son  “Mom I need help with my math problem”

Ballerina “Mom, I neeeeed help”

Baby “Maaaooom”

Rinse, Repeat! eheheh

I am on my 10th viewing of a Christmas Story, LOVE IT!  It gets the season started for me.  We also have 3 stations playing Christmas music, LOVE IT!  You might be going “Sheesh” yourself, LOL, but I just love this time of year.  Tomorrow morning we will get our Christmas Tree (Fake, of course) and have up for Thanksgiving dinner all lit.  It adds a nice ambiance.

The holiday cleaning has begun as well.  Its like nesting, but getting ready for the holidays instead of baby.  Bleaching floors, Walls, un-cluttering, taking stuff to good will!  I tackled the big kids domicile, yikes!  I should have taken pictures.  You would have wondered, sheesh how you even gonna get in there?  Now it is immaculate!

Well I am off to take a nice long HOT Shower before the kids wake up!

Have a great Tuesday!

Wordless Wednesday – We are Vog'n

We were trying to Vogue:

But than we just cracked each other up:

Can you tell I am ready for Christmas?

Oh I love the good times like that.

Christmas Sugar Cookies

The girls and I baked cookies Thursday evening and Friday afternoon; Santa, stockings, gloves, angels, reindeer, bows, bulbs, balls, candy canes, gingerbread, stars and snowflakes. We should have counted how many. It was all in anticipation of Grandma (Mom O – My Mom-n-law) coming over to decorate cookies with her grand babies..

Before the kids arrived home from school and Grandma arrived, I prepared several colors and placed them in zip-lock bags (for more detailed designs.) We had Red, Dark Blue, Light blue, yellow, green, black and white. We had sprinkles, dots and colored sugar.

We decorated from about 3:30 to 9 pm. I had to take several breaks in between to tend to my baby girl, but the kids were so into it.

Wow, that is a lot of cookies! We didn’t finish decorating them all. As you can see, my 4 year old is already picking out which ones are her’s. Here are some close-ups:
