Yep it has been another year and I am now a 39 year young lady…
A lot has happened this passed year. Shortly after I turned 38, baby number five came rushing out:
That was the fastest delivery I have experienced. Doc broke my water and 1 1/2 hours later, she was there… ”Hey Mom!” Poor hubby didn’t even have a chance to drop the kids off at school and get to the hospital.
We had a nice Christmas and I even found my two favorite Christmas decorations:
I got these before hubby and I were married, at one time we both worked at the same little restaurant. We met a week before I turned 16 and we have been together every since. December 2010 we were married 21 years. This year will be 22 years..
Early January came and I wasn’t feeling well so I took one of those Clear Blue Easy pregnancy tests and it was very faint, but positive. I went to the doctor for a check up and he said there was nothing there and confirmed it with a blood test. He said he wanted to check me in a couple of weeks. So two weeks later I returned for another ultrasound when he noticed the lining of my uterus was very thick. So he sent me off for a batch of blood work and orders to return in a couple of weeks for a biopsy. I did as ordered and less than a week later I received a copy of my blood results. I begin to scroll through the list with each line stating “normal” when I come to one that says “positive”. I look to the left and see it is an HCG test (pregnancy test) low and be hold I was approximately 3 weeks pregnant with baby number six.
So long story short, I wasn’t pregnant at my first visit, but just a week afterwards we conceived. That explains why baby #5 didn’t want to nurse anymore. So with a 3 month old in hand and positive lab results in another I tell my hubby. ”Wow your fertile” and he gives me hugs and kisses.
February, March, April, May went well. June was time for graduations ceremonies. My 6th grader was moving on to 7th grade (Jr. High). My 8th grader was moving on to High School. My little 1st grader would be moving on to 2nd grade and in the same school, but without her big brother to escort her to and from the playground.
The summer went without a hitch, my son ran youth track then started football. My daughter started training for Cross Country. August came and we scrambled to get the kids ready for school and they were, thank you… They were ready, eager and excited.
It has been a week since school started and my head is spinning a little bit. Now it is my Birthday. A whole year has passed. I will enjoy my day that will include my son’s 2nd regular season football game, family and my favorite cake…
Have a great year bloggy family and thanks so much for visiting with me.
