Cranberry Orange Oatmeal Cookies

I received a box of Archer Farm’s cranberry orange instant oatmeal to review and the first thing I thought was “these would make an awesome oatmeal cookie.”

Here are the yummy cookies my daughters and I made.   They are very easy to make and delicious!  Here is the recipe:

Cranberry Orange Oatmeal Cookies

1 cup shortening

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

2 eggs

1/2 cup mik

1 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp nutmeg

2 cups Archer Farms Cranberry Orange instant oatmeal

1 cup regular instant oatmeal

Preheat Oven to 400°

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs till fluffy.  Stir in milk.  Sift dry ingredients together and then stir in creamed mixture.  Stir in oats.  Drop a tablespoon of mixture 2 inches apart on greased or non-stick pan.

Bake for 8 minutes.

You can find a box of this yummy instant oatmeal at Target for $3.49.
