Have you ever stopped to think of the people in your life who have made lasting impressions? I can think of a couple teachers.
My freshman year I was having a hard time with life in general, forget about school work. Mrs. Hughes helped me see man in a new light and I found a love for algebra.
Later, Mrs. Fortenberry came a long. Another wonderful woman and teacher. She taught business classes. With her I learned to type and accounting. But she also taught me to take each day as it comes. What set Mrs. Hughes and Mrs. Fortenberry apart from the rest, was that they loved what they did. They gave me confidence.
The book “The Boy Who Changed the World” talks about something similar. The support a young boy receives from a mentor, but it is told in a children’s book. Not only that, but it takes us on a trip to see the chain of influences that ultimately affect the boy. A boy that does great things in his life.
I read this book to my daughters and they loved it. A strong story about the choices and the influences we have on the world and people around us.
I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their BookSneeze.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review.
