Much of the time being a stay at home Mom seems like a thankless job. Instead of a raise, a bonus or a pat on the back we find accolades in other ways.
How do I find successes? When my kids are sweet to each other, when a stranger compliments their good behavior or when they are honest even though they know they might be in trouble.
But every once in a while I get something like this:
My 4 year old brought me this little set of blocks. I told her how nice it was then she said, “this is a trophy for you Mom because your the best cook in the world!”
Yes I got a little teary-eyed and gave her a big ol’ hug.

Kids truly are amazing. I stared at that picture Josh drew of our family for days before I decided to put it up to share, it was too funny not to.
