Last week we were chatting about the Paleo Diet and we learned a lot about it from our guest on MamavationTV. Little did I know I would be on that diet the very next week.
Why? As I mentioned before, for the past 5 years I have been dealing with severe ankle pain that we always associated with an old-untreated ankle injury. In May I found out it is actually degenerative arthritis. Maybe a month ago my knee started to suffer, we are talking glass-in-the-knee feeling. Then last week my shoulder started with severe pain.
I know I should go to the doctor (I will make an appointment tomorrow) but to be honest I have never really had simple diagnosis from my doctors. They with either send me to a specialist, keep trying a sloo of drugs or tell me really off the wall things like…. Your Allergic to Yourself… Wow I paid all kinds of money to hear that. So needless to say I don’t have a lot of faith in a doctor outside of my ob/gyn.
Not only that, but what is the first thing they say as a remedy? ”You need to lose weight.” Not as easy as that.
So anyway why the Paleo? I am not thinking Paleo for weight loss alone. I remember how good I felt with low carb and remember reading articles about diet changes nearly eliminating signs of illnesses.
So I spoke with Alysa @InspiredRd and she suggested the Paleo and reaffirmed I need to eat my veggies and fruits along with the good, lean protein like grass fed beef, poultry and fish.
