We survived #hellweek OOHRAH, Semper Fi baby! Woooh just channeled my Daddy and Gunny Lee Ermey.
What have I learned? I can be sore in all kinds of places. To manage my time better so I can get my workouts in. Not to be so hard on myself because I use to be an athlete; that girl is still there just covered in layers. Just be hard on myself to get the job done and right!
After #mamavation mom interview with @momma_oz I learned something else this weekend. I have been thinking I’m eating “right” but am I? How’s are my portion sizes? She learned during her time as a #mamavation mom and now a grad to use appropriate portions. I looked back all those years I thought I was eating right. It may have been the right kind of food but not the right proportions.
Ok back to #hellweek……… I lost 4.4 pounds yes. So I am back at the beginning a new starting point… Now let’s see what I can do this week!
Thank you to @mnmspecial for reminding me to get my water in.
Please help me be the next Mamavation Mom. You can do so by:
Tweeting as often as you have time for: “Hey @bookieboo! I want @mommayoung to be the next #Mamavation Mom. She has my support! http://bit.ly/aorv3Y”
and if you wouldn’t mind posting on the Mamavation fan page and say why you think I would be a good Mamavation Mom http://www.facebook.com/mamavation
Thank you!
Ok my goals for this week:
- Proper Portions, using myfitnesspal
- 120 ounces of water
- muscle focus on my #2weekchallenge exercises and #mamavation mom applicant exercises
Be on the lookout for 3 giveaways:
- a copy of Think Thin and Grow by Charles D’Angelo

- a copy of The Little Book of Diet Help by Dr. Kimberly Willis
Ok, now it is time for this weeks Blogging Carnival. This week’s blogging carnival is sponsored by The Chia CO and asks the question: What are your latest healthy food discoveries?
I have been told on various discussions to eat nuts and dried fruits to help with the low sugar shakes I get especially after work outs. That is when I was introduced to Organic Trail Mix. It has cranberries, almonds, sun flower seeds, raisins, apples, soy, unsweetened chocolate chips, pumpkin seeds and peanuts. I know those things have fat, I just have to eat the right portions and I won’t blow all the hard work.
This post is sponsored by The Chia Co and I’m writing this to be entered into a giveaway hosted by Mamavation – a community dedicated to obesity prevention & weight loss for women.

Just make sure you are getting enough protein and reading labels!
Keep going, you’ll make it!
We should learn a thing or two tonight about the food we are eating. Otherwise, I think myfitnesspal is a fantastic idea!! Good luck this week, and next Monday and the finals!!
