We are always looking for new fun craft ideas, specially on a rainy day. If it isn’t a rainy day maybe it is a stay-cation, a snowy day, a weekend home who knows, but there is a need beyond video games and television.
There are some craft products out there that just inspire creativity in kids, no instructions needed. So for today’s activity we pulled out of the box: The Ultimate Neon Fuzzy Kit with 300 pieces.
The girls’ eyes lit up and the Uh’s and Ah’s began. I was going to pull up some project ideas for them to do, but they got started all on their own. Here they are getting serious. Look at their faces.
I grabbed some fuzzy sticks and started making a flower. My six old grabbed sticks and began folding and twisting. The three year old grabbed the fuzzy sticks and started to feel their texture and began to twist them. This was her first time with fuzzy sticks.
The 3 year old’s eyes really got big when I pulled out the fuzzy balls and wiggly eyes. I could see light bulbs go off in her little head. She grabbed the biggest fuzzy ball and fluffed him up. Then she wanted Mommy to put the biggest wiggly eyes on her fuzz ball.
Here is her little critter; the green fluffy guy there. My six year old wrapped fuzzy sticks in a wreath shape and gave him a little bouffant hair do. And there is Momma’s flower.
If you want to grab a set and see where their minds take them these project kids can be found in Walmart in the Kids’ Craft aisle.
