Hey everyone this is Summer from Summer Scraps! I am so excited to be sharing my Halloween Treats and guest posting today on Momma Young at Home! Sometimes I need a quick idea to dress up a simple treat for Halloween. So I came up with these Halloween treats that require no special tools or cutter to make. I hope you love these Halloween Treats as much as I do!
- Scrapbook Paper
- Black cardstock
- Green cardstock
- White cardstock
- String or Ribbon
- Halloween themed stamps or stickers
- Ink in various colors
- Paper Cutter
- Adhesive (I used double stick tape)
- Candy – It’s all about the candy!
First you will grab your cute scrapbook paper and cut it into strips. You want your pieces to be 3″x 6 1/2″. Once the pieces are cut fold each side 2 inches in. I then inked all of the edges with black ink.
Now with the black cardstock cut pieces that are 3″x 1″. If you had scallop scissors you could cut one edge – I don’t so I just used regular scissors and cut a wavy edge. Using double sided tape, tape them under one of the flaps.
Tape your treat inside, tape the envelope shut and wrap your ribbon or string around. Tie with knot up top.
Using the green and white cardstock I handcut some circles. I found some things around the homes (small cups, etc.) that were the size I wanted, traced and cut. The green circle is 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4 ” the white circles are 2 inches in diameter. Ink the edges, tape together and stamp with your favorite Halloween stamp or add some cute Halloween stickers.
Tape the circles onto each of the treats.
A perfect way to make a cute treat with any candy!
