If you cook as much as I do, you’ll know that your kitchen tools will make or break your cooking experience. Right now I am using stainless steel cookware. They are nice to display in the kitchen, but if you don’t cook at just the right temperature or use copious amounts of oil your food sticks like crazy. That is why I’ll be reviewing different non-stick pans. The first is the Restaurant Pro 12-Inch Open Teflon® coated Non-Stick Skillet.
I fried eggs in this pan with no oil, they didn’t stick. I made yummy omelets; I wasn’t able to do that before in my other skillets. I also made a tamale pie and baked it using this pan.
- Clean up was easier then I’m use to except for area where the handle is attached, you’ll have to scrub the corners around the bolts, but not too bad.
- It feels like a solid pan and not too heavy.
- I like the length of the handle from the pan.
- The pan gets warm fast and holds its heat, so make sure to monitor your temperature.
- I didn’t use any oil on any of my recipes except a little bit on my fried potatoes; Significantly Less oil has to be good for the heart!
Here are some factoids from Teflon® Brand:
Restaurant Pro 12-Inch Open Skillet:
· Durable Teflon Platinum nonstick interior for added scratch resistance, easy cleanup and quick food release
· NSF Certified, guaranteeing the highest construction and performance standards
· Restaurant-styled cookware for fast, even heating
· Nonslip silicone handle Oven safe to 400°F
The MSRP for this pan is $44.00 but I found it online at various places for starting at $15. If your looking to try a non-stick skillet, that is a excellent price for a restaurant quality pan.

I am not much of a cook but my biggest pet peeves is when I drop something, when I make a mess, and the dishes at the end lol.
I don’t like when things stick

I never seem to have the right pan for a recipe – too big stockpot, too small frying pans…
I hate it when eggs stick to the pan!
I hate it when eggs stick to the pan and when the pan has scratches on it.
Stuck on food is such a pain!

I really hate making fried eggs and having them stick!
I love to cook, but I always – ALWAYS – burn food when cooking in “non stick” pans!! I’m all for some texture, but I hate the taste of burnt grilled cheese, chicken, or eggs! And I’m sure ingesting the coating that inevitably chips off of these pans isn’t good for my health!
Cleaning up !!
Hate it when things stick to the pan! The teflon in our pans is all scratched
I hate when the oven is not working and I have undercooked food
I hate when the food sticks to the pan or having to use too much oil

I hate it when I try to boil milk and it overflows…. never did it come out right not even once….
I never seem to have enough pans.
My pet peeve is how whatever pan I need is always buried in the cupboard out of reach!
Maybe it’s the pans I have, but no matter how much oil I use, things stick to it! The worst thing is an oily and mangled omelete :S
I hate non-stick pans that start flaking.
My pet peeve is definetly not having enough pans…or serving bowls in the size I need!

I have one burner that takes forever to heat. My oven temp I have to watch carefully because it’s not always what temp it indicates.
IT IS SO FRUSTRATING WHEN YOU PREPARE FOOD ONLY TO HAVE IT STICK TO THE PAN. IT IS A WASTE OF TIME AND FOOD. MOST NON-STICK PANS DO NOT LIVE UP TO THEIR HYPE. I CAN’T WAIT TO TRY THIS PAN SINCE I DO A LOT OF COOKING FOR MY FAMILY. THANKS FOR THE OFFER…
